Chicken is a good source of protein and without the skin is low in fat making it excellent for making healthy meals. It is ideal for making tasty comfort food like stews, oven bakes and roasts. It's also perfect for quick cooks such as stir fry or pan fry and it makes delicious warm and cold salads.

Healthy beef meals for 2  

Beef is much higher in fat than some other proteins, the healthiest cut is definitely steak as it is lower in fat than the other cuts and the fat is easily removed. Steak is an expensive cut so we focus our dinner ideas around dishes where the steak is served with a lot of vegetables, such as stir fry, fajitas and salads

Healthy dinner ideas for two with pork

There are a number of pork cuts that are low in fat and excellent for a healthy dinner, one of the best is pork fillet or tenderloin which can be roasted or sliced to form medallions. This pork cut makes delicious stir fry and pan fry as well as oven-baked dishes and salads

Soups are a good source of vitamin, mineral and complex carbohydrates, they are probably one of the best ways to get your five a day without noticing!
