Cheese Starters


We have some delicious cheesy starters for any dinner, family party or meal with friends. These starters all feature a variety of cheese as their core ingredient,  including goat’s cheese, mozzarella, ricotta, blue cheese, halloumi and feta.

Goat’s Cheese Starter

Our first starter features goat’s cheese as its hero ingredient, this incredibly easy starter is the perfect recipe to begin any dinner party. This goat’s cheese salad has thick slices of goat’s cheese placed on ciabatta bread and lightly toasted till golden brown. The goat’s cheese and ciabatta discs are sprinkled with roasted and chopped hazelnuts and served with caramelised pears and rocket. The salad is completed with a fruity balsamic dressing.

Mozzarella cheese starter

This traditional Italian cheese starter is ideal for a crunchy creamy starter. The mozzarella is cut into sticks and coated in panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch and deep fried till crisp and golden brown. The crispy cheese sticks are served with a rich tomato sauce flavoured with oregano, garlic and basil which complement the creamy melted cheese perfectly.

Feta, Mozzarella and Halloumi Starter

This traditional middle eastern starter features three delicious cheeses, feta, mozzarella and Halloumi. The cheeses are mixed together with figs, lemons, pine nuts, mint coriander and parsley. The cheesy herb mixture is encased in a crisp filo pastry case.

Blue Cheese Starter

These individual tarts make a tasty starter, the tartlets have a crisp short crust pastry with a simple filling of sliced sautéed leeks and crumbled blue cheese. The tarts are flavoured with chives, mustard and garlic and served with cherry tomatoes roasted in balsamic vinegar.
