Pork and plums are a fantastic sweet and savoury combination, what makes this meal extra special is the delicious spice mix of ginger, star anise, sugar. soy sauce, lemon and honey that flavours the delicious sauce.
pork - we use pork fillet for this recipe as it is low in fat so better for you than the traditional pork belly, it will still require slow cooking to ensure the meat is tender.
plums - we use fresh plums for the sauce as they are less sweet than tinned
Chinese five spice - is a delicious selection of spices that are used to flavour meat, it contains star anise, cloves, cinnamon, Sichuan peppercorns, and fennel seeds
