Stew are traditional thought of as a meat dish, but with the addition of beans lentils etc there are some delicious veggie equivalents. Lentils are a fantastic vegetarian substitute for meat in a stew, our favourite lentils to use for stews are green lentils, we tend to use tinned lentils rather than dried lentils as they tend to soak up the sauces and gravies making a dry stew if you are not careful.
