Teriyaki Vegetable Stirfry with Ginger & Chive Rice

Edamame beans and vegetables coated in ginger, garlic honey and teriyaki sauce, served with a ginger and chive rice

 

How it's doneDirections

Step 1

 

  • Add some boiling water to the pan
  • Add the rice cook till soft.
  • Peel and grate the ginger
  • Wash and chop the chives
  • Wash the rice, drain the rice.
  • Add the herbs and spices to the rice set a side

 

Step 2

  • Heat the wok add the oil
  • Peel and grate the ginger add to the wok
  • Peel and crush the garlic using the garlic crusher or chop finely add to the wok cook for a minute or two

Step 3

  • Defrost the edamame beans add to the wok cook for 3 to 4 mins
  • Add the vegetables to the wok cook for 3 to 4 mins

Step 4

  • Mix the teriyaki sauce and the honey together add to the wok.
  • Cook till vegetables are tender remove the vegetables from the wok

Step 5

  • Warm the rice.
  • Place one serving of rice onto a plate.
  • Place the vegetables on top of the rice serve immediately

  • garlic crusher
Chicken
  • 80 grams edamame beans
  • 1 packet oriental vegetable stirfry mix
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 cm fresh ginger
  • 6 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
Rice
  • 100 grams white rice
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
