About our duck stir fry recipe
Stir-fried duck breast makes the perfect quick evening meal,
this recipe is a delicious mix of orange and Chinese spiced marinated duck with a selection of crisp vegetables, It is a tasty mix of east meets west and packed full of traditional Chinese
flavours.
A delicious Chinese marinade perfect for duck, as it mixes
the European mix of duck and orange with the delicious Chinese flavour mix of
grated ginger, crushed garlic, soy sauce and honey. The duck breasts are stripped
of the skin and sliced into strips and marinated for a minimum of 2 hrs. The duck
stir fry sauce uses the delicious mixture of orange, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and
honey from the marinade to flavour the final dish so nothing goes to waste with
this dish!
This dish is a mixture of traditional and oriental
vegetables that compliment the duck beautifully, pak choi and spring onions
which are commonly used in Chinese stir fry and asparagus and broccoli which are
more traditionally European
Our recipe is served with just vegetables, but if you want extra carbs you can serve
it on a lovely bed of perfectly cooked noodles and a sprinkle of toasted sesame
seeds
Mix grated ginger, crushed garlic, soy sauce, honey, and fresh orange juice. Remove the skin from the duck breasts and cut the meat into strips, pop in the marinade and leave for at least two hours. Cut the asparagus, pak choi and spring onions into slices and
the broccoli into small florets. Toast the sesame seeds in the wok and set them aside.
Remove the duck from the marinade, and save the marinade. Stir fry the duck pieces
and then set them aside. Stir fry the vegetables add the marinade and orange juice
to the vegetables allow the sauce to thicken then return the duck to the pan
and cook for a minute or two. Serve the stir
fry duck in a bowl sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and crispy duck skin
